If yes, then we have the ideal opportunity for you. We are looking for a Pharmacy Administration Apprentice to join our administration team and help support the Pharmacy staff throughout our department.

You will be employed on a 24 months’ fixed term contract, working 37.5 hours a week. A high percentage of our Apprentices are recruited into permanent employment with the Trust during and on completion of their Apprenticeship.

This is a training role and applicants who currently hold a business administration qualification or similar need not apply.

In this role you will be providing clerical support to the Pharmacy Department at both Clatterbridge and Arrowe Park Hospital.

**Your main duties will be**:

- Photocopying, collation, distribution and filing of materials to support the departments business functions.
- Collation and entry of a range of data to support business analysis and audit.
- Input invoices into the JAC system.
- Support diary management of colleagues for meetings and training.
- Daily collection and distribution of post within the Pharmacy Department.
- Input information into various Pharmacy packages, in an accurate manner.
- Assist with the preparation of meetings and conferences, printing papers and booking of rooms.
- Answer the telephone, taking messages and transferring calls.
- To provide cover for the administrative team during periods of absence.

WUTH Pharmacy has been recognised as a high performer by NHSE and CQC. We are a large department, employing 95 pharmacists and 47 MMTs alongside excellent support staff. We deliver services to the acute hospital, primary care networks (PCN) and a range of external customers for aseptic services and via our wholesalers dealers authority.

We are highly innovative department; recently winning, or shortlisted for national awards within surgery, antimicrobial stewardship and PCN. Our service is highly regarded by clinical teams, demonstrated by investment in a wide range of specialist roles embedded within MDTs. Hospital services are provided 24/7 via an excellent residency service and over half of our pharmacists are independent prescribers.

**Your main responsibilities will be**:

- To ensure office and clerical duties are completed accurately and in a timely manner to support the Trusts business needs.
- To comply with the Code of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act

**Apprenticeship Information**:

- You will be expected to complete your apprenticeship within 24 months of your start date.
- The pay scales for band 2 are £14,152.50 for the first 12 months, followed by £17,926.50 from month 13 until completion of the apprenticeship.
