**What will you do?**

Duties of an Assistant Cook are varied, and no two days will be the same in the home’s busy kitchen. As a general guide you will prepare, cook and serve hot and cold meals, providing special dietary requirements where necessary for residents. You will plan and cost menus in order to provide a balanced nutritious diet, making the best use of available fresh foods. Maintain accurate records and the correct ordering of food supplies and checking of deliveries and ensure all crockery and equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately and kitchen, dining areas, including equipment, are cleaned to statutory Health and Safety standards.

**What do you need?**

You will have the required knowledge and experience, along with the appropriate level 2/3 catering qualifications, or are working towards them, but also have the right values and behaviours to work in our residential care service.

Operating in the village of Westerhope and specialising in Nursing, Residential and Dementia care.
