The role of the Team Leader is critical to the smooth running of the designated Business Applications Team. You will manage and oversee a team of Functional and Technical Consultants that deliver high quality and bespoke Dynamics 365 solutions to our clients.

**What skills and working characteristics should this person have?**:

- Broad knowledge of functional capabilities of Dynamics 365 platform
- Experience of Waterfall and Agile methodologies and the ability to work within multiple project methodologies simultaneously
- Proven ability to support and build high performing teams and lead them to success and work collaboratively
- Effective communication across cross-functional teams and diverse client/stakeholder groups
- Capable of successfully managing significant client escalations and issues
- A self-starter that can thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to problem solve, multitask and self-manage time, and a confident decision maker
- Ability to remain calm under pressure

**As a Dynamics 365 Business Applications Team Leader, you'll be responsible for**:

- Active contribution to the strategic direction of the Business Applications department.
- Active leadership of the team, balancing management styles based on the scenario
- Resource management and capacity planning of the designated Business Applications Team, including recruitment/retention activities and training plans.
- Organise team building and team motivation events and activities.
- Line management of Team Members, of various roles and experience including contractors.
- Setting and tracking consultant’s utilisation rates, seeking further efficiency where appropriate.
- Mentoring and educating team members to adopt best practice standards and methodologies.
- Mentor and guide more junior resources including the identification of work that will stretch their skills and experience.
- Focus on continuous improvement of people, processes, and performance.
- Work closely with internal Project Managers as well as key stakeholders to manage project related risks that are not suitably mitigated within the project teams themselves. Manage risk and reward to create a balanced approach across the department.
- Act as senior escalation point - proactively dealing with conflict and issue resolution.
- Provide guidance and quality check points and ensure processes are followed.
- Ensure internal and external client-oriented documentation is produced to a high standard.
- Capture and disseminate lessons learnt and continuous improvements in methods, processes, and tools.
- Proactive engagement with the Managed Services team for structured handover, knowledge share and ongoing support and upskilling first and second line where necessary to reduce the volume of escalations.
- Managing any impact of support, presales and leave etc. on project delivery and utilisation rates.
- Input into the Product Development team where reusable components have been created or are required in the future.
