Tynemouth aquarium, located on the beautiful Northeast coast, is home to an array of animals in over 40 naturally themed exhibits from around the world including the British Coast, the Mediterranean, coral reef and the tropical rainforest.

**Job Purpose**

You will be responsible for promoting and participating in public presentations, tours, birthday parties and education sessions, as well as conversing with visitors as you work throughout the various departments within the aquarium.

**Duties/ Responsibilities**
- To provide a world class level of customer service at all times.
- To be approachable, friendly, knowledgeable, and engaging when dealing with customers.
- To deliver talks and feeds to a varied audience.
- To deliver education sessions to a variety of ages from primary school pupils to university students.
- To promote and deliver Tynemouth Aquarium’s conservation and education plans.
- To deliver exciting, entertaining, and educational birthday parties when requested ensuring that all aspects of the birthday party are catered for.
- Take pride and ownership for assisting in keeping all areas clean and tidy. Responsible for adopting good housekeeping standards in all areas including external areas.
- Ensure all security procedures are adhered to including wearing earpieces when on admissions tills.
