This is a permanent position offering a weekly minimum of 10 guaranteed hours (roughly 2 days a week). The London Eye is open daily so full availability is needed, including weekends and bank holidays.
**We’d love to have you on board if you**:
- Are confident and comfortable speaking in public
- Have experience in a similar role within the entertainments, hospitality, or events industry
- Have a validated understanding of health and safety practices, although full training will be given
- Are prepared to work outdoors all year round, in various weather conditions, uniform will of course be provided, but we’ll need you to become comfortable with this being a part of your role
Ultimately, we’re looking for someone who is willing to go above and beyond to help deliver unforgettable experiences that our iconic attraction deserves.
**The day to day**
As **River Cruise Commentary Assistant** you will provide an engaging 40-minute commentary to our guests during their tour on the River Thames, suggesting further places of interest, as well as being on hand to assist with any queries they may have. You’ll also have the opportunity to put your own creative spin and flair onto the tour, ensuring that all guests leave entertained and informed.
As you can imagine, there is a huge health and safety focus when working on the river, and you will be working closely with the Captain, to ensure that safe working practices, particularly with relation to your Muster role, are monitored and any unsafe acts are reported appropriately.
When you’re not actively delivering the commentary, you’ll be supporting the other departments where needed, including upselling our experiences, answering general guest queries, and even training new team members.
