**Role: Fleet Maintenance Controller (Contract position)**
**Location: Stoke on Trent**
**Pay rate: £24 per hour**

We are working on behalf our client in sourcing a Maintenance Controller to work on an ongoing contract basis.

**Role Summary**:
To ensure that vehicle uptime and customer safety is their absolute priority, through effective and efficient breakdown and defect control.

**Key areas of responsibility**:

- Ensure all phone calls are answered within the set KPI.
- Allocating breakdowns to the correct supplier, ensuring that vehicles histories and warranty statuses are checked beforehand.
- Ensure all breakdowns are recorded onto their systems and are chased within the KPI's set and customers updated.
- Excellent levels of communication with customers at all times.
- Prompt action of any customer defects, checking vehicle histories to ensure any warranty repairs/repeat work is highlighted and reported accordingly.
- Communication with the Fleet Uptime Supervisor, highlighting any issues/concerns and major supplier failures.
- Using the VOR report, contacting suppliers a minimum of twice daily to make sure we get accurate progress updates, ensuring customer uptime is their absolute priority.
- Ensuring VOR progress updates are communicated to the customers and any issues bought to the supervisor's attention.
- Raise LOU claims, making sure these are processed and can be invoiced.
- Review the Out of Hours handover, actioning any ongoing jobs, making sure our systems are updated in a timely manner.
- Explore all possible avenues prior to submitting a relief vehicle request.
- Manage the defect report.
- Any additional duties identified for the benefit of the department/business.

**Education, Qualifications, and Experience**
- Essential: 3 years + experience in a similar role.
- Desirable: 3 years + experience working as aHGV technician.

**Skills, Ability, and Knowledge**
- Good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop good working relationships, with employees, customers, and suppliers.
- Excellent management of time
- HGV Mechanical knowledge.

**Working Hours**
Monday to Friday
0800 - 1700 hours
