**Maintenance Operative**

**£21,000 - £25,000 (dependent on experience)**

At Edison Young People (home of The Place Young People’s Company and Unity Residential Care) we have 20 beautifully designed children’s residential homes and three independent schools that provide even more safe havens for vulnerable children in our area.

**What will I be doing as a and Maintenance Operative?**

You’ll be responsible for providing property support and maintenance in our 3 - 4 bedded children’s residential homes. The main duties will include:

- To be responsible for the completion of maintenance and repairs at the Children’s Residential home sites
- Carry out security procedures for buildings and grounds
- Dealing with enquiries from employees, visitors and contractors
- Management of pest control on site
- Replacing light bulbs/tubes if necessary and rectifying any lighting defects
- To represent the company in a professional manner
- Provide support to the other company sites as required

**What would be expected from me as a Maintenance Operative?**
- Over the age of 21
- Hold a valid driving licence
- Knowledge of basic joinery, plastering and brickwork
- Physically fit to do occasional lifting
