**Sales Director (EMEA)**

Croda is a FTSE100 company specialising in developing and manufacturing ingredients for the (Bio)Pharmaceutical sector. The company has over 5,000 staff globally and technology platforms focused on High Purity Excipients, Vaccine Adjuvants and Lipid Technology.

The Sales Director for EMEA is a critical role in the development of our Croda Pharma business in the region, and will be instrumental in maximising market share, driving excellence in account management and identifying opportunities to further grow our business in EMEA both organically in inorganically.

Reporting to the Vice President of Pharma you will also lead and develop the EMEA sales team in a high growth region and highly strategic business area within Croda.

**Who we're looking for**:

- Degree qualified with prior experience in the pharmaceutical ingredient (lipids, adjuvants, excipients etc) sector with strong commercial background with multi
- country / regional responsibility.
- Excellent people leader who is able to coach and develop a regional sales team and build a high-performance sales culture within a complex matrix organisation
- Experienced in value based pricing activities and managing pricing strategies
- Good background in operational commercial activities at a multi-country / regional level
- Excellent networking and influencing skills with the ability to build strong networks and business relationships internally and externally.
- Fluency in English + additional European language (German) would be highly desirable

**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead the 3-5-year EMEA commercial strategy for Croda’s EMEA Pharmaceutical business through the effective allocation and management of commercial resources to deliver long term business objectives
- Influence and gain buy in from a broad cross-section of stakeholders through leadership of a multi-functional global steering group.
- Directly manage a small portfolio of key accounts ensuring we provide strategic and value-added partnerships with our customers at all levels
- Support Croda’s sustainability, health & safety and diversity inclusion initiatives, providing exemplary leadership in striving to achieving our goals
- Develop suitable contingency plans and execute them decisively in response to potential problems, opportunities and changing situations.
- Define, agree and decisively implement all commercial policies for pricing and product ranges whilst supporting with route-to-market strategies
- Deliver annual financial targets including sales, margins, working capital, commercial fixed costs, and maximum profitability.
- Lead key decisions on pricing, customer priorities, etc managing potentially conflicting short
- and long-term issues in the overall best interests of Croda Pharma
- Provide line management leadership, coaching and motivation to a team, many of whom may be located remotely.
