**Trains & Model Railway Online Auction Cataloguer**

As a Trains & Model Railway Cataloguer for Vectis Auctions, you will catalogue collectables to be sold on our online auction platform. A good knowledge of Trains & Model Railway is required such as, Hornby, Hornby Dublo, Hornby Railways, Liliput, Lima, Peco, Rivarossi, Tri-ang Hornby, Tri-ang Railways, Wrenn Railways, Trix Twin, Dapol, Graham Farish, Hornby Minitrix (N gauge), Bachmann Branchline, Fleischmann, Heljan, Airfix and associated items. Speed, accuracy and a passion for collectables are qualities required by Vectis to enable us to fulfil our vision to become the UK’s largest, premium collectables auction company.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Be a part of the Cataloguing Team and contribute to team meetings to improve the Vectis service.
- Support other cataloguers as required with sales.
- Input titles, descriptions and estimates into the Vectis auction system.
- Identify collectables and sort collections into “lots”
- Work with enthusiasm and at pace.
- Capability to complete all paperwork and administration.
- Ability to learn and share expertise of products.
- Liaise with customers to determine if the collection is suitable for auction.
- Support customers enquiries and resolve customer issues
- Attend exhibitions and promote Vectis to the wider community
- Work closely with marketing team to ensure consistent messaging across all channels, and devise strategies to increase the customer base.

**Skillsets Requirements**:
**Essential**
- Good knowledge of train related collectables and their values
- Computer literate and competent with Microsoft products
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening

**Desirable**
- Worked within an ecommerce environment
- Experience of buying and selling on an online auction platform, such as eBay

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £21,400.00 per year
