Pathology Administrator

As a Pathology Administrator you will be responsible for providing a customer orientated reception service in the Phlebotomy department.
This is to include accurately registering patients and printing off blood request forms. Also to assist with any enquiries from internal and external users.
This is a face to face role in a very busy department but will also require taking telephone calls.
The working hours are 1.30pm-5.30pm Monday to Friday.
Some of your duties will include
- Booking patients in accurately for blood tests
Ensure correct patient has been selected from the ICE system to generate a blood request form
Communicate effectively with patients in a polite and professional manner working to high customer care levels at all times.
To take telephone bookings for specialist tests
To work in co operation with the rest of the phlebotomy team to ensure the smooth running of the reception area.
First point of contact for patients who are unwell, to provide support and empathy and to ensure patients are effectively managed in the appropriate manner
