UX Researcher

**Amongst our ongoing growth, we are now seeking our newest UX Researcher to join our expanding UX team of 16, including both research and design, at our Chester head office.** Working within our wider Product department, our newest addition will **focus on improving one of our many exciting products**, helping people across the business **get closer to the user, providing greater visibility of their wants, needs and behaviors.** This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining the UX team at Sykes as the business continues to invest heavily in the team and wider Product department, including an increased focus on both the accessibility and usability of our user experiences.

**Our newest UX Researcher will hold the following key skills**:

- Proven experience **working or studying in a similar role**:

- Experience using **research and insight tools** such as UserZoom, ContentSquare, or similar
- Ability to work with both **qualitative and quantitative data**:

- Familiar with statistical concepts such as **sample size and margin of error**:

- Ability to **articulate research findings** to stakeholders across the business
- **Clear communicator** that can tell a good story
- Comfortable **collaborating with multiple people** across differing skill sets
- **Open to challenges** and finding new ways of approaching problems
- Experience **driving research insights into design solutions**
**Nice to have**:

- **Bachelor or Master's** in Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or similar
- **Understanding of human biases or behaviors** and how they can influence people
- Understanding of **Lean and Agile ways of working** in multi-disciplinary squads
- Understanding of **A/B testing and experimentation**:

- Awareness of **design and prototyping tools** such as Moqups, Sketch, Framer, or similar
**As our newest UX Researcher, you will be reporting into our Lead UX Researcher and will be accountable for the following areas of responsibility**:

- Conducting **research studies** to better **understand user needs and behaviors**:

- Using multiple methods and techniques to generate **research insights**:

- **Connecting stakeholders** with the users of the product
- **Defining and uncovering the right problems** through relevant questioning
- Working with stakeholders to **gather and understand research requirements**:

- **Sharing and articulating research insights** with stakeholders
- **Planning work** across all phases of research using a structured approach
- **Collaborating with designers** to turn research insights into design solutions
- Working with designers to **understand if solutions are fit for purpose**:

- Collaborating with data analysts to **share insights and improve visibility of research**:

- **Supporting other researchers** with larger business projects
- Taking ownership of key objectives including **personal growth & development**:

- **Reviewing research **generated by others to **ensure consistency and quality**
Please note: The working hours for this position are 37.5 per week to be worked Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm.
