As Senior UX Researcher, you will be reporting to our Lead UX Researcher and will be accountable for the following areas of responsibility:
Collaboration & Planning
- Working with stakeholders to gather and understand research requirements.
- Planning research across all phases of the product design process using a structured approach.
- Working with Designers, Product Owners, Data Analysts, Engineers, and business stakeholders to represent research, advising, advocating, teaching, and collaborating as needed.
- Supporting other researchers with larger high-impact business projects.

Research Studies
- Defining, planning, and conducting user research using both qualitative and quantitative research methods and techniques.  
- Creating compelling, actionable research insights and communicating these with stakeholders. 
- Connecting stakeholders with the users of our products and services.

  Leadership & Mentoring
- Managing, coaching, and guiding a small team of junior & mid-weight UX researchers.
- Taking ownership of key objectives, including personal growth & development.
- Owning, championing, and driving improvements to UX tools or processes.
- Reviewing research generated by others to ensure consistency and quality.

Strategy and Steering 
- Promoting and driving a user-centric approach within the product lifecycle.
- Taking a holistic view of our understanding of users and proactively identifying knowledge gaps that will fuel new research projects.

As a Senior UX Researcher, it's essential you bring the following:

- Proven experience as a professional User Researcher, with a generalist knowledge across design and product. 
- Knowledge and practical experience of using a variety of exploratory and evaluative research methods (qualitative and quantitative), with a strong awareness of their benefits and weaknesses. 
- Comfortable moving at different speeds and can easily shift back and forth between scrappy and robust research study design depending on constraints and business needs. 
- Experience working in an agile, multidisciplinary team environment, where you've led research and made an impact to the direction of the product or service. 
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills. You are someone who can tell a good story and communicate research findings to all levels in a memorable, impactful way. 
- Open to challenges and finding new ways of approaching problems. 
- Comfortable with metrics and A/B testing and can synthesise quantitative data with qualitative user research. 
- Experience managing people and workflows.
- Experience using research and insight tools such as UserZoom, Hotjar, ContentSquare, or similar.

It’s helpful if you also have:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Anthropology or similar.

**Salary**: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
