Sitting at the heart of our Product Team, our UX Principal will be **focused on leading and owning the operational efficiency side of UX**, working to **improve our processes across several disciplines, tools and squads. **In particular, the role will focus on **how we measure the UX team's impact and value across the business, while also working closely with the Head of UX to plan and execute our long-term vision and strategy. **This will include **identifying and developing UX skills within the team** and the wider business, with the aim of **helping people become more user focused in their approach.** This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining the UX team at Sykes as the business continues to invest heavily in the team and Product department, including an increased focus on both the accessibility and usability of our user experiences.
**As our newest UX Principal you will hold the following skills**:
**Essential**:
- Proven **experience working in a similar role**:
- Familiar with **research and insight tools** such as UserZoom, ContentSquare, or similar
- Familiar with **design and prototyping tools** such as Moqups, Sketch, Framer, or similar
- Able to work **with both qualitative and quantitative data**:
- Able to **articulate UX insights and decisions** to stakeholders across the business
- **Clear communicator** that can tell a good story
- **Comfortable collaborating with multiple people** across differing skill sets
- **Open to challenges and finding new ways of approaching problems**:
- Experience taking a **collaborative and research lead approach to problem solving**:
- **Understanding of human biases or behaviours** and how they can influence people
- Experience with **Lean and Agile ways of working** in multi-disciplinary squads
- Understanding of **A/B testing and experimentation**:
- Experience **measuring and monitoring UX output across multiple disciplines**:
- Experience **managing, shaping and improving workflows** using relevant tools and techniques
- Experience **facilitating workshops** using variety of techniques and methods
- Experience **shaping and influencing team, department and business strategies**
**Desirable**:
- **Bachelor or Master's**

**As UX Principal you will be accountable for the following areas**:
- **Solving process problems** through an insight led, lean UX process
- **Improving the flow of work** across multiple UX areas and squads
- **Monitoring and reporting on team output and key success metrics**:
- **Driving and supporting strategic business initiatives** that align to company objectives
- **Owning, championing and driving improvements** to UX tools or processes
- **Influencing and shaping the UX roadmap and key deliverables**:
- **Collaborating with researchers, designers, developers and POs** to improve UX processes
- **Connecting with and understanding the needs of the user**:
- **Defining and uncovering the right problems** through relevant questioning
- Working with stakeholders to **gather and understand requirements**:
- **Sharing and articulating decisions** with key stakeholders
- **Planning work across all phases** of UX using a structured approach
- **Collaborating with researchers and designers** to deliver informed solutions
- Working with researchers and designers to **understand if solutions are fit for purpose**:
- **Supporting researchers and designers** with larger business projects
- **Taking ownership of key objectives including personal growth & development**:
- Reviewing work generated by others to **ensure consistency and quality**:
- **Promoting and driving a user centric approach** within the wider business
- **Coaching, guiding and supporting new and existing team members**
Please note: The working hours for this position will be 37 per week to be worked Monday-Friday.
