Lead UX Designer

Amongst their ongoing growth, they are nowseeking a Lead UX Designer to join the expanding UX team of 16, including both research and design. You'll work within the wider Product department, the newest addition will focus on improving one of many exciting products, helping people across the businessget closer to the user, providing greater visibility of their wants, needs and behaviours. This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining the UX team as the business continues to invest heavily in the team and wider Product department, including an increasedfocus on both the accessibility and usability of user experiences.
As Lead UX Designer, you should hold the following key skills
- Proven experience working or studying in a similar role.
- Experience using design and prototyping tools such as Moqups, Sketch, Framer, or similar.
- Able to work with both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Able to articulate design decisions to stakeholders across the business.
- Clear communicator that can tell a good story.
- Comfortable collaborating with multiple people across differing skill sets.
- Open to challenges and finding new ways of approaching problems.
- Experience turning research insights into design solutions.
- Understanding of human biases or behaviours and how they can influence people.
- Understanding of Lean and Agile ways of working in multi-disciplinary squads.
- Understanding of A/B testing and experimentation.
- Experience using research and insight tools such as UserZoom, ContentSquare, or similar.
- Experience managing people and workflows using relevant tools and techniques.
- Experience facilitating workshops using variety of techniques and methods.
- Experience shaping and influencing department and business strategies
Nice to have:

- Bachelors or Masters Degree in UX Design, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or similar.
Key Responsibilities
You will be reporting into the Head of UX and will be accountable for the following areas of responsibility:

- Solving problems through an insight led, lean UX process.
- Using multiple methods and techniques to generate design solutions.
- Connecting with and understanding the needs of the user.
- Defining and uncovering the right problems through relevant questioning.
- Working with stakeholders to gather and understand design requirements.
- Sharing and articulating design decisions with stakeholders.
- Planning work across all phases of design using a structured approach.
- Collaborating with researchers to deliver informed design solutions.
- Working with researchers to understand if solutions are fit for purpose.
- Collaborating with developers on solutions and design handovers.
- Supporting other designers with larger business projects.
- Taking ownership of key objectives including personal growth & development.
- Reviewing designs generated by others to ensure consistency and quality.
- Promoting and driving a user centric approach within the product lifecycle.
- Managing, coaching and guiding new and existing team members.
- Owning, championing and driving improvements to UX tools or processes.
- Influencing and shaping product roadmaps and key deliverables.
- Managing the prioritisation and flow of work across multiple researchers.
- Driving and supporting strategic business initiatives that align to company objectives
