Charity People are delighted to be partnering with Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospital to recruit a Legacy Marketing Officer to take forward the Legacy and In-Memory programmes for their hospitals.
**The Charity**

Alongside Guy's Hospital and St Thomas' Hospital there are two additional funding priorities that complete the Trust - Guy's Cancer and Evelina London.
The Fundraising team for Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital, including Evelina London Children's Hospital and Guy's Cancer has an ambition to radically grow their income over the next few years. Through inspiring and innovative fundraising, they will be supportingcutting edge research, capital appeals and amazing everyday care for their patients. Fundraising and Supporter Development is an integrated department that provides a single fundraising and supporter engagement function for King's College London, Guy's andSt Thomas' Trust and for King's Health Partners, working closely with the Maudsley Charity. Based at King's College London, they work with colleagues across their partners to help them serve society through world-leading education, research and healthcare
**The Role**
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate fundraiser/marketing executive to join their Legacy Team to take forward the Legacy and In Memory programmes for their hospitals. Reporting to the Head of Legacies, your role exists to grow the Legacy programmeand oversee the legacy supporter journey for the hospitals' prospects, enquirers, intenders and pledgers. Through managing a range of marketing campaigns, you will develop and maintain the existing legacy fundraising programme and work with Head of LegaciesGiving to create an In-Memory strategy, moving them from a reactive approach to a proactive way of fundraising. You will manage their legacy fundraising activities, which includes managing the Free Will Service, overseeing two Free Wills Months a year, stewardinglegacy pledgers & intenders, responding to legacy enquiries, providing suggested will wording, and other new opportunities as appropriate.
For this role, it is essential to provide excellent supporter care for individual legacy and In-Memory supporters and you will work to build relationships with colleagues across the hospitals to develop and grow both legacy and In-Memory fundraising. In additionto this, you will oversee stewardship events and communications for all pledgers & intenders.
We are looking for someone with experience in fundraising or direct marketing with an interest in Legacy Marketing/Fundraising. You should have strong project management experience, along with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You shouldhave strong negotiation and persuasion skills with a wide range of stakeholders, an ability to work as part of a team but also use initiative and have a calm and professional attitude.
