As ManagementAccountant you will lead the development of the finance function and support the directors through the provision of timely and accurate financial data to enable strategic planning and decisions. **About the business**: This is an exciting time to join this construction business which has doubled in size over the last 12 months and take a leading role as No1 in finance as part of a small, ambitious management team with outstanding prospects for long term personal and careerdevelopment. **The role of Management Accountant** You will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including: - Take full responsibility for the accounting function, including weekly & monthly payroll, purchase ledger, sales ledger, banking, and VAT - Provide short and long term cashflow forecasts - Prepare monthly management accounts including full variance analysis against budget, forecast and previous periods and explain to management - Support strategic decision making on future development of the company - Work closely with the directors to understand contract and customer profitability - In conjunction with the external accountant prepare statutory accounts and deal with the annual year end accounting process - Summarise management information on daily, weekly and monthly reports as required - Ensuring appropriate levels of internal controls This is an exciting opportunity, working closely with the Directors and management team to review the financial performance of the business, as well as provide detailed forecasts to facilitate strategic decisions & drive the business forwards. **About you**: - Experienced Management Accountant - Able to demonstrate ambition and an entrepreneurial mind set, keen to make a mark in a growing business. - ACCA/ CIMA or QBE Accountant (Support if working towards qualifying) - Analytical skills and a high attention to detail - Self-motivated and enthusiastic - Ability to build relationships, and work closely with management teams - Confidence to challenge the "statusquo" - Outstanding excel and accounting software
