Responsibilities:

- Be first point of contact whether this be visitors or telephone enquiries, screen calls, redirect and take messages. Generally, create a welcoming environment
- General office duties, typing, proofreading, creating and maintain spreadsheets, filing photocopying etc.
- Accounting - sales ledger work in several different formats including retrieval, data logging, analysis and feedback. David Hallam Ltd utilise a specialist construction orientated accounting package called Evolution.
- Ability to develop and maintain online accreditation such as Construction line, CHAS Disclosure and barring service (DBS) etc.
- Manage sales of chemicals/ materials ability to deal with cash and card sales.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and reservations as needed
- Maintain a schedule of customer maintenance contracts and produce drafts for renewal on a timely basis.
- Organise collection and delivery of water samples to laboratory, deal with couriers collecting from and delivering to the office.
- Maintain and order office supplies
- Book accommodation for staff working away from home, pay online tolls etc.
- Produce and maintain holiday logs/charts and liaise with HR.
- Be adaptable and be willing to change working practices to suit the companies needs.

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

**Education**:

- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 3 years (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 3 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
