**Hours**:Full time **(37 hours/week)

Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm

We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Coordinator to organize the resources used to support learners with disabilities and those with social, emotional and mental health needs. We want to ensure all aspects of the student journey are fully inclusive and they receive the support they need to achieve their desired outcomes.

In this exciting role you will have responsibility for the co-ordination of high quality learning support, you will manage complex information and play an important role in the ALS team. Working closely with the Inclusion Manager you will organise the day to day running of the department and be involved in a variety of tasks. You will assist in the coordination of access arrangements for students, ensure accurate records are kept on all students that receive additional support and support the organization of exams to ensure JQC and awarding body requirements are adhered to with regard to additional support. You will work with staff across college departments, students, parents and external agencies.
- Educated to a minimum level 4 in a related area e.g. social care or teaching.
- Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
- A knowledge and understanding of issues associated with developing and providing support to students/young people with additional needs.
- Knowledge of access arrangements and reasonable adjustments
- Proven experience of dealing with behavioural issues and having the resilience required to deal with these challenging situations effectively
- Excellent communication skills to liaise professionally with internal and external organisations
