This is a pivotal role in ensuring learners with SEND receive tailored effective support that enables them to thrive.About the RoleAs Learning Support Team Leader you will: Coordinate and manage Learning Support Assistants and Communication Support Workers. Lead on timetabling staffing forecasts and budget planning. Monitor and improve support delivery ensuring compliance and quality. Oversee medication administration and accessibility equipment. Develop and deliver training for support staff and awareness sessions for college-wide staff. Collaborate with SEND Advisors and curriculum teams to promote inclusive learning. Represent the ALS department in internal and external meetings. Contribute to strategic planning and development of the Learning Support provision.What Were Looking ForWere looking for someone with: Extensive and current knowledge of SEND including neurodiversity and mental health. Proven experience in inclusive education and supporting learners with complex needs. Strong leadership organisational and communication skills. GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above). A commitment to safeguarding equality and continuous improvement.Desirable qualifications and experience include: Level 4 or higher in Supporting Teaching and Learning SEND or Inclusion. Specialist training in autism ADHD mental health or speech and language.
