**Day rate: £75-85 per day**

**Contract: Long-Term Supply, Part-time**

**Start Date: ASAP**

Leader Education are working with a SEND school in **South Shields** to appoint a committed individual to fill the role of Trainee SEND Learning Support Assistant.

This is an opportunity to join a dedicated, cohesive team in supporting and educating pupils with a wide range of **SEN needs including ASC, MLD, PMLD and other complex difficulties.**

We are looking for:

- **Applicants with experience** in working with special needs

Applicants should be
- Able to handle challenging behaviours confidently
- Flexible and adaptable to meet the specific unique needs of SEND learners
- Creative and organised in your approach to aid learning
- Passionate about helping SEND learner/s achieve their personal and academic goals

The role involves:

- Supporting SEND learning on a 1:1 basis or small groups
- Liaising with teachers to ensure the best possible progress for the pupil/s
- Delivering fun, engaging activities and sessions
- Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil/s

The contract type for this role is part-time, long-term supply but there are opportunities to progress to a full-time role.
