Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are looking for an experienced Livestock Planning Coordinator to support a team based in Malton North Yorkshire.
This role would suit anyone with a farming, agriculture, or livestock management background.
**The Role**
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Livestock Planning Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for compiling the weekly kill plan, ensuring effective coordination with suppliers, hauliers, and internal departments. Your primary focus will be to monitor, update, and maintain the daily supply of pigs to our site, ensuring compliance with customer specifications. You will also play a crucial role in managing business critical accounts/reports, maintaining accurate data, and supporting the smooth running of our operations.
**Duties**
- Compile the weekly plan, coordinating with suppliers, hauliers, and internal departments.
- Monitor, update, and maintain the daily supply of pigs to the site, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
- Work closely with the site on business critical issues to ensure compliance.
- Reconcile pig data daily for payment and pig data sheets, process payments, and communicate back to suppliers.
- Liaise with marketing groups, suppliers, and hauliers for the efficient running of the business.
- Maintain and update the departmental database, ensuring accuracy and adherence to site, customer, and legal standards.
- Provide relevant kill information to the respective departments daily.
- Input data, maintain spreadsheets/forecasts, and run reports with accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist with supplier queries, including payment inquiries.
- Collate weekly data, prepare submission files, and submit them to the industry's governing body (AHDB).
- Collaborate with the Rural Payments Agency to provide requested documentation.
- Work with the Meat Livestock Services Division to ensure factory compliance.
- Utilize SAP and Excel for data management.
- Provide assistance and cover for the Pig Buying Administrator as needed.
- Support the Head of Pig Buying with additional tasks as required.
- Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by the Head of Pig Buying with accuracy and timeliness.
**The Person**
- Experience of planning or scheduling
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in an administrative role.
- Agricultural background is advantageous.
- Proficiency in data inputting and report running.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SAP, and databases.
- Exceptional attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to take ownership.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure when needed.
- Willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
