**Role Definition**

As a Test Engineer you will be a supporting member of the Product Development team, this role will require you to carry product compliance tests in line with worldwide standards and a testing plan to ensure products are safe and compliant for various marketsaround the world.

You will be required to be hands on in the testing of prototypes and production products. Feedback and analysis from the products tested are required to continually improve the design of the products the business manufactures.

In this role you will have a direct impact on the business achieving increased market share and return through cost effective and timely development of innovative products which comply with National and International Standards

**Responsibilities**
- Capable of working on a broad range of gas, electrical or combined fuel domestic appliances
- Capable of setting up and monitoring tests, preparing models for submission to the appropriate test authority
- Support the development engineers with the test plan
- Compiling test reports in line with the project
- Maintain internal design and test verification test methods in line with the latest approval standards
- Support the development engineers by drawing on internal knowledge as well as industry and/or academic resources in reaching testing conclusions
- Periodically Benchmarking existing products against that of competitors
- Excellent communication skills.
- Can analyse and compile testing data from the tests performed
- Proactive and flexible
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated who can manage their time based on a test plan.
- Understanding of electrical and / or gas systems
- Qualification in engineering
- Previous test experience
- Hands on experience in an engineering / maintenance capacity.

**What we offer**

Up to 28k per year, 37.5 hours a week, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, company-contributed pension scheme, life assurance, 5% yearly bonus in line with company targets, the chance at progression into a more senior role and training opportunities.
