Procurement Officer

VANRATH are thrilled to be assisting an industry leading vehicle supplier in **Armagh** with the recruitment of a **Procurement Officer **to join their expanding team.
This is a position that requires combining excellent organisational skills, people skills and multitasking skills.
This is a Monday - Friday position - 40 hours per week (Hours may be negotiated at the interview stage).
**Salary**
£27,000 - £35,000 per year + fantastic benefits in a modern workplace
**Responsibilities**:
- Place purchase orders for production and general consumables using MRP system.
- Management of purchase orders from order placement to delivery to Stores.
- Maintain accurate purchase order data, including delivery dates, prices, and elevating delays to relevant stakeholders.
- Utilise stock management system to provide forecasted demand and order scheduling.
- Management and reporting of supplier delivery performance, including stock levels.
- Negotiate and agree material prices with suppliers.
- Develop effective strategic procurement solutions to support company growth.
- Ensure strong business processes are in place to manage new supplier relationships.
- Provide efficient and accurate administration support to the procurement function.
- Relay strategic objectives and production targets to suppliers through monthly updates and bi-annual site meetings.
- Work efficiently with Engineering and R&D for new product development.
**The Ideal Person**:
- 2-3 years relevant experience of procurement within the manufacturing / engineering industry.
- CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) qualification or equivalent or actively working towards qualification.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365.
- Full driving licence.
