Maintenance Lead

Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting a Maintenance Lead to support the Operations Maintenance Services team in Aberdeen.
Primary focus on the continuous running of equipment and machinery alongisde production and operations.
Using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), oversees routine operations and/or maintenance and organise repairs. Involved involved with control and monitoring devices and technology enabled systems. May improve production facilities, reduce breakdowns and associated costs and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes.
A key aspect of this role is ensuring client satisfaction and requirements are met. A significant degree of planning and resource management, both people and equipment is required.
- Provide input and consultancy on maintenance, reliability and asset management work scopes, which may include the following specific activities: maintenance planning development; critical spares reviews; maintenance data builds; data cleansing; reliability, availability and maintainability
modelling; and criticality assessment
- Provide technical leadership on assigned maintenance data build, cleansing or optimisation projects
- Undertake reviews and peer assists in accordance with management system review process and checking procedures
- Review and approve assigned deliverables
- Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments
- Provide consultancy technical support to the wider business
- Ensure that Wood delivery methodologies incorporate industry recognised best practices
- Provide consultancy specific input to scope definition and execution for business development proposals and new project work scopes
- Project management for equipment overhauls & replacements, creating business cases & driving cost and schedule performance
- Designs maintenance and or/ production strategies, procedures and methods
- Oversees routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
- Diagnose breakdown problems
- Oversees delivery of new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly, include factory & site acceptance testing
- Ensures quality of delivery
- Liaise with client departments, customers and other engineering and production colleagues
- Works with supply chain as appropriate to procures fixtures, fittings or components
- Oversees, monitors and control maintenance costs
- Deals with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
- Commited to ensuring the highest standard of health and safety delivery in line with policies and procedures
- Writes maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
- Ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns
Skills / Qualifications:
**Qualifications**:
- Typically, minimum qualified to ISCED Level 5 (technical diploma / apprenticeship) or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience
**Knowledge, skills and experience**:
- Maintenance data builds and data optimization projects
- Maintenance, repairs, and spares strategy development
- Best practice in asset management through Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Project management experience (desired)
**Personal attributes**:
- Professional demeanor with appropriate interpersonal skills
- Exceptional written communication [technical report writing]
- IT Literate (Excel / Word)
- Flexible - able to comply / adapt to company / client requirements
- Ability working to and delivering to deadlines
