Job Description Remarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world Wood is looking for an experienced Operations & Maintenance Lead with direct experience of managing, coordinating or supporting maintenance delivery for heavy assets, particularly in a upstream, midstream or downstream oil & gas context. This is a staff role based in Aberdeen and hybrid working with the expectation of working 3 days from our Aberdeen office. The Role You will be responsible for coordinating a global delivery team across the Operations & Consulting Business Units within Wood. Our Clients and Projects Designing the future. Transforming the world Optimised Energy provides operational maintenance advisory and asset management support to Wood's customers across the operations lifecycle. Provide Technical Expertise Act as a subject matter expert in maintenance discipline and reliability systems, ensuring best practices are applied. Drive Performance Excellence Support delivery of projects, manage client relationships, and report on opportunities and risks impacting business performance. Champion Continuous Improvement Promote adherence to management systems and provide feedback to enhance processes and efficiency. Support Strategic Planning Assist line manager in achieving annual business goals and contribute to regional business planning for maintAI & operational maintenance advisory services Ensure Safety & People Development Maintain a strong safety culture, manage team development, and empower employees to perform at their best. Lead Change Management Ensure robust Management of Change processes and foster a learning culture across the team. Drive Business Development Adopt a seller-doer approach to support growth strategies, lead bid/tender activities, and strengthen customer relationships. Provide Leadership & Mentorship Model ethical behavior, manage and mentor direct reports, support recruitment and Qualifications What makes you remarkable? Expected Degree qualification in Engineering, Scientific Discipline, or related technical field with significant experience in an asset operations environment Direct experience of managing, coordinating or supporting maintenance delivery of assets, particularly in an upstream or downstream context Understanding of analytical techniques applied to maintenance and reliability systems to understand performance and opportunity for optimisation An interest in Digitalization and application of automation and AI techniques to deliver value at pace Broad understanding of the Energy industry in region and strong networking and relationship building capability with Operations customer base Proven experience of customer facing communication Knowledge of current HSSEA, regulatory and other legislation as applicable in the industry maintAI is being deployed Team building skills – motivating people, proactively enabling cross functional best practice within cross Wood teams The ability to influence and challenge others to behave in ways consistent with the interest of the organisation and Optimised Energy objectives About Us Wood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
