Elite Search Associates are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a Charity, who provides Specialist Independent Education to children and adults with complex needs.

**Overview**

As the HR Manager you will be responsible for a small team of HR professionals and you will be responsibility for 2 small schools, children’s homes, adults social care homes and a college.

**Role Description**
- To articulate and promote the vision, values and purpose of the Trust during the recruitment process, communicating the desired expectations of staff as well as measurable impact that they have on the student journey as well as their own personal journey.
- To work with the team to lead develop, grow and role model collaboration within a learning community which looks to share good practice and support staff in diverse roles across the provision.
- To be responsible for the management of the human resources at a number of the Trusts provisions, this is likely to cover a multi-company approach as well as day and residential provisions.
- To advise a range of managers on all human resources management issues; including workforce planning, organisational restructuring, staff recruitment, employee relations and performance management.
- To work with the recruitment team to co-ordinate and support recruitment and selection processes and procedures, provide advice and guidance to managers and carry out associated administration, and to keep the Trust Head of Human Resources updated on aregular basis.
- To ensure that there is a smooth appointment process for applicants and that all of the appropriate vetting checks are conducted with rigour and confidence, this will include references, immigration requirements, Disclosure and Barring Service Checks, Overseaspolice checks and qualification and training checks.
- To develop and deliver training and awareness sessions for managers in relation to relevant human resources practices and new employment legislation within the remit of the role.
- To develop and deliver training and awareness sessions for managers in relation to equality and diversity.
- To support the provisions and Trust in strategic planning, advising managers on workforce issues and participating in the planning processes.
- To ensure that all HR processes are GDPR compliant at all times.
- The post holder will be required to work at all provisions across the Trust, and provide sickness and absence cover for other members of the Department of Human Resources personnel, as required.

**Experience required for this post**
- A track record of managing an HR operational Service
- CIPD qualified and registered with CIPD as MCIPD or higher orequivalent qualification and experience is desirable but not essential
- Experience of delivering training and other learning interventions
- Good IT skills and experience of using HR systems
- Ability to manage use of time effectively and deal with conflicting priorities
- Ability to demonstrate high levels of discretion and confidentiality
- Experience of working within a complex organisation
- Adaptable and shows initiative
- High level of personal resilience
- Good communication skills
- Driving licence

**Remuneration & Benefits**
- Salary is competitive - £37,000 - £44,000
- Based in Sheffield
- Travel on a weekly or fortnightly basis to the sites in Darlington, you will be expected to commute to other trust locations
- Full time, permanent position
- 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) which increases with length of service
