**Description**

In this busy and varied HR Manager position based in Sheffield, roles and responsibilities are to include;
- Coach and build the capability of leaders and managers on all people matters helping them to understand, assess and improve the capability and capacity of their teams
- Lead on the development and implementation of a Learning, Development and Training strategy in line with the organisation's strategic plan
- Drive and manage the recruitment strategy to ensure that appropriate resource pipelines are in place to deliver the right roles and skills including fixed term staffing and to support and advise senior management in the recruitment of freelance staff
- Review and redesign of induction and onboarding and ongoing monitoring and support processes for staff
- Leading on staff welfare, training needs, wellbeing and associated communication and information flow across the staff team
- Build and maintain HR networks and collaborative working practices across the city, the region and beyond

**Profile**

We're looking for someone with;
- A progressive, non-bureaucratic approach to HR
- An ability to challenge business leaders to make better decision
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role with ability to add value on both strategic and operational grounds
- Commercial acumen - has a good overall understanding of company finances and uses this information to support managers in resource planning, training, compensation, benefits etc.

**Job Offer**
