Continuous Improvement Lead - Worthing - £50,700 (DOE) - Permanent - Full Time
**Flexible Working (2days in the office/ 3days remote)**
The Opportunity

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Defining and delivering a continuous improvement framework, training, coaching and direct support to colleagues to identify, progress and track improvement initiatives and benefit realisation across the directorate.
- Maintaining a clear view of all inflight and planned changes, feeding through to an overall view of change within the directorate and to the benefits released.
- To define and implement an appropriate continuous improvement framework through the customer and community experience function of the business, maturing this gradually over time.
- Deliver relevant tooling, training, coaching and support to raise capability and build a culture of continuous improvement.
- Through analysis and insight identify opportunities for improvement, working with relevant business managers and partners to implement with business line retaining accountability and ownership for the success of the initiatives.
- Ensure the effective execution of improvement initiatives with quantifiable results that are aligned with overall business plans.
- Monitor and report on progress of planned improvements to assure timely action, appropriate management support, and achievement of expected outcomes and benefits.
- Use appropriate measurement, analysis and evaluation methods to accurately identify and document continuous improvement recognising capability maturity.
- Build effective business cases for investments in improvements where needed to make the case internal for funding, ensuring accurate forecasting and control over such budgets.
- Enhance capability maturity over time.
- Exposure to continuous improvement (Ci) practices in different organisations.
- Be able to adapt their experience and knowledge to meet the Ci maturity level of the organisation.
- Be able to implement formal approaches and techniques.
- You will be highly analytical, passionate in working with stakeholders to identify, analyse and interpret route cause data to generate insight to identify the most effective ways of delivering and measuring improvements that may be related to policy, process,technology, organisation or behavioural changes.

- You will be passionate to foster and develop a continuous improvement culture and capability by having a thorough understanding of commercial business drivers and ideally previous experience within a utilities setting.
- You will be pragmatic, adaptable and be open minded enough to recognise new procedures and be willing to develop creative solutions and processes in delivering the improvement plan. You will demonstrate excellent leadership skills, with the ability to makeimportant decisions, influence and negotiate expertly with strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills with a propensity for solutioning and action through self and others.
- Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate with others.
- Experience working in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to interpret, use and evaluate numerical and graphical data to achieve goals/targets.
- Ability to Identify and analyse problems and issues through process, people or policy lenses.
- Communicate appropriately with a range of audiences including peers, senior colleagues and specialists
- A self-starter able to take accountability for their own activities based on their expertise and to remain adaptable and flexible to changes in ways of working.
- Qualifications: Studied to degree level and/or relevant business experience.
- Relevant professional experience in similar roles or relevant continuous improvement qualifications.
- Expertise in particular methodologies is desirable, but not essential.
- Applicants need to demonstrate individual delivery success.
