**Business area introduction**

Risk Solutions Group (RSG) are part of SCIB’s Markets division, situated on the Private Side and providing cross-asset market risk management solutions to corporations and financial sponsors. The product range primarily includes derivative-based hedging solutions covering rates, inflation, FX, carbon as well as liquidity and structured deposits.

**Key activities**

Origination of risk management solutions for SCIB UK’s corporate and financial sponsor client base. Activities include:

- Provision of predominantly FX market risk management solutions to drive the expansion of SCIB’s fund level hedging activity with key sponsor relationships
- Coordinate global portfolio monitoring for fund level hedging activity for UK, US and Continental Europe sponsors in order to facilitate origination/trade ideas and improve internal reporting.
- Production of client content and participation in client dialogue relating to the risk management products, market dynamics and hedging ideas.
- Ability to understand the event-driven risk management dynamic and integrate this into the broader corporate finance offering of SCIB
- Calculation of derivative prices (including XVA and other adjustments), exposure profiles and capital / return metrics
- Documentation (ISDA, regulatory, trade specific) and execution of client transactions
- Production of materials for internal approval and monitoring processes as well as attendance in approval forums
- Ability to understand and execute client flow requirements
- Ability to incorporate ESG and DSG overlays into solutions

**What we’re looking for**
- Understanding and experience in pricing and modelling inflation, interest rate, cross-currency and FX derivatives - including but not limited to the suite of cross valuation adjustments
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- CISI Regulatory, Securities and Derivatives Modules
- Ability to understand, assess and provide solutions to the market risks encountered by clients
- Experience of simulating scenario analysis / stress testing for hedging strategy impacts on financial models and covenant ratios
- Experience of financial model construction and analysis
- Experience of strategic risk management pitch construction across rates, inflation and FX asset classes
- Experience of deal contingent hedging product set
- Analysis of financial statements and credit risk modelling
- Knowledge of accounting standards, in particular those impacting hedging and how this impacts the decision making for corporate / financial sponsor clients essential
- Knowledge of ESG impact on market risk management solutions and how to incorporate this into client dialogue
- Knowledge of the commodity asset class with a focus on both regulated and voluntary carbon markets
- Fluency in English essential
- Other linguistic capabilities including spoken and written Spanish and/ or Portuguese

**What else you need to know**

This role is based in our Triton Square office in London, conveniently located within walking distance from Euston Station and Warren Street Station.

Given the recent impact of the Coronavirus outbreak we will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.
