**Role purpose**
As Notice Processing/Back Office Administrator you are to liaise effectively with members of the public and Council employees as required.
**Key responsibilities**
- Deal with telephone enquiries from members of the public relating to the issue of PCNs and Permits.
- Provide advice to members of the public on the current legislation relating to the issue of the penalty notice and information relating to new or existing permits.
- Log all telephone conversations on the system.
- Answer correspondence relating to the issue of PCNs, making relevant checks to investigate appeals and reply ensuring all points are answered.
- Develop an understanding and appreciation for background material such as the Road Traffic Act 1991, the Traffic Management Act 2004, the road traffic regulations of 1984 and all laws governing parking on privately owned land.
**Person Specification**
- Experience of working in a customer service environment.
- Relevant industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Be capable of operating effectively as a team member.
- Attention to detail.
- Confident/Assertive.
