Hawthorn Accountancy Solutions provides bookkeeping, accountancy and payroll processing services.
Our working hours are:
- Monday - Thursday : 9am - 5pm
- Friday : 9am - 3pm
We are looking for a professional, responsible, and efficient individual who is has a keen eye for detail. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for:
- Setting up payroll schemes via HMRC
- Managing circa 120 clients
- Processing weekly, fortnightly, four weekly and monthly payrolls for a wide variety of clients
- Actioning starter and leaver forms
- Ensuring minimum wage legislation is adhered to.
- All RTI submissions, eps, fps and end of year submissions along with any EYU required
- Calculating holiday pay
- Setting up attachment of earnings, student loans and staff loans
- Auto enrolment duties including declaration and redeclarations of compliance and working with pension companies.
- Calculating and processing redundancy payments where necessary
- Reconciling PAYE payments
- Dealing with HMRC on client’s behalf, reconciling our figures to those held at HMRC if required.
- Running the payroll year end and issuing relevant forms, such as P60’s
- Payroll training where necessary
- Producing payroll reports for the client year end and reconciling those with figures in accounts.
- Working with our IT provider to resolve any software issues relating to the payroll department
- Reconciling PAYE accounts
Payroll qualifications are desirable, but not essential. However, experience within the field is essential.

**Salary**: £19,500.00-£22,500.00 per year
