**Job description**:

- As a Community Support Information Officer (CSIO), the post holder will be a member of the RAF Waddington Community Support Team and will support the delivery of community events and welfare activities across the whole RAF Waddington community.
- Supporting other staff within the HIVE Information Office, the post holder will act as a focal point for core information relevant to the military and civilian Service community and will be responsible for engaging with and promoting Community Support to new arrivals. The post holder will support families affected by deployment/separation through duty and will lead/support the delivery of information through the Community Support e-newsletter/Social Media platforms.
- CSIO responsibilities will include continuous assessment of Service community needs, the evaluation of Station informational needs and will ensure appropriate responses are provided in a professional and timely manner to all enquiries. The post holder will be expected to develop an extensive knowledge base in order to provide a range of information on request; relocation information, arrival information, local facilities, schools and further education, housing, healthcare facilities, employment and training opportunities etc..**Responsibilities**:

- As the holder of the position of CSIO you will be responsible for:

- Acting as the station’s focal point to provide information to the whole Service community, including RAF reserves, with current and relevant information on behalf of the Chain of Command, Command Staff, MoD and external agencies. There may also be the requirement to support informational services in outlying areas covering other staff absences and holiday periods.
- To assess needs within the Service community and provide feedback on issues of interest to the Community Support Team and Station Chain of Command through the Community Needs Analysis (CNA) process.
- Lead or assist in the delivery of operational deployment support to deployed personnel and family members, including participation in events/activities, provision of Deployment Support Packs, procurement/provision of appropriate resources and presenting at Deployment Support briefings.
