Our philosophy is to empower people to live their passions in a safe place, with relevant engagement, genuine transparency and a democratised value system. **Your Community** You will be a member of the Safety & Integrity Team based in the UK and will be working closely with the Head of Investigations. **Your Purpose** Your role as an Investigations Specialist will focus on protecting Aaqua members by reactively and proactively investigating threats on Aaqua. **Your Focus** Your contribution will include: - Responding to inbound investigative leads from internal or external sources. - Proactively identifying potential threats to build scalable protections to prevent threat actors from exploiting Aaqua. - Developing and refining investigative standard operating procedures. - Contributing to investigations as part of a team with a global focus. - Handling sensitive online content that may include credible threats. - Conducting threat discovery activities to identify new and emerging threats for the Aaqua community. - Involvement in investigative work that may happen outside of regular business hours **Your knowledge**: Given your epic background, you will have deep understanding of the online threat environment and how different types of threat actors exploit the online space. As we are a truly global team, your business English skills are a must in order for you to be able connect and collaborate. **Your Journey** Ideally your career journey to date will have given you experience in or exposure to the following: - Investigating the online threat environment and identifying patterns of abuse, as well as knowledge of the cross-platform tactics of threat actors and how they evolve. - Proven track record of identifying online signals of bad actor behaviour. - Open source intelligence (OSINT) skills, including a sound understanding of online operational security, as well as methods of finding/verifying information. - Knowledge of the online threat environment in the UK - Ability to communicate investigative findings clearly, either verbally or in report form, and make recommendations on how to protect our proposition from threats it may face. - Ability to horizon scan and discover emerging online threats beyond Aaqua. - Proven track record of working cross-functionally to improve detection models and develop data driven solutions to mitigate threats. - Mentally and emotionally resilient to offensive, disturbing, or illegal behaviour, language, and content. - A proven understanding of online deceptive and manipulative behaviours. **Your Qualities** Your qualities are seen, heard and observed every day through your words, actions and behaviours.
