Your Purpose

The Investigation Support Specialist provides essential administrative and operational support to the Investigation Unit. This role focuses on managing documentation and related databases, coordinating communication, and ensuring smooth workflow processes to support investigators and detectives in their casework. The Specialist does not conduct major investigations but plays a critical role in maintaining organisation, accuracy, and efficiency within the unit.

Your Impact

  • Manage and organise investigation files, reports, and evidence documentation to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Supervise, update, and ensure the integrity of all live databases related to the Investigation Unit.
  • Collect, compile, and analyse statistical data related to investigation activities, case outcomes, and operational trends.
  • Identify patterns, trends, or anomalies in case data and generate reports to inform the investigation team.
  • Escalate concerns or unusual trends to supervisors or management for timely review and action.
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics for meetings, interviews, and other investigative activities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications related to investigation cases.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, correspondence, and other documents as needed by the investigation team.
  • Maintain compliance and amendment of policies and procedures.
  • Support the preparation of materials related to legal enquiries, claims and complaints, under the guidance of the Head of Investigations and the Investigation Manager.
  • Collaborate with other administrative and operational units within the Security Department.
  • Responsible for the equipment inventory and procurement related to the Investigation Units.
  • Responsible for the training plan and training compliance demanded by the Investigation Unit.
  • Cooperate in an investigative role for minor cases.

Your Journey so far

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or similar degrees, data analysis, administration, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in administrative support, data analysis, and database supervision, ideally within law enforcement or investigative environments.
  • Proficient in data management tools, live database systems, spreadsheets, and statistical software (e.g., Excel, Access, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends or irregularities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
