**The Business**
Nigel Wright Supply Chain and Procurement Team are working with a key Client seeking a Procurement Officer.
The Client will support a blend of home-based and office based working.
**The Role**
Working within a small, supportive and busy Purchasing Team the Procurement officer will be responsible for the following:

- Ensure the correct completion of tender documentation before launching and managing tender process across a broad selection of goods and services
- Act as a central point of contact - advising key internal stakeholders/Project Managers as to procurement best practice and to assist/check tender templates and specifications market research across a wide variety of categories
- Coordination of Requests For Information, evaluation/review of responses through to award and communication internally/externally of successful award
- Administration relating to the central contracts' database

**The Individual**
The successful Procurement Officer will have/be:

- Proven professional track record ideally within Indirect Purchasing/Procurement essential
- Basic understanding of running and managing tenders through to contract award - essential
- Knowledge of Public Sector Procurement desirable but not essential
- CIPS/part CIPS qualified advantageous, not essential
- Organised and process driven - able to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, adept at building relationships internally and externally
- Proactive, assertive, confident decision maker with a hands-on, can do attitude
