Nhs 111 Clinical Advisor
Connaught Resourcing is an established Health & Social Care recruitment business specialising in NHS 111. We are supporting NHS Wales with their recruitment of Clinical Advisors in to the NHS 111 Service which is currently being rolled out across Wales.
The NHS 111 Wales service is a completely free way to contact the NHS in Wales for health advice, information, and access to urgent care, which first launched in 2016 in England.
Instead of caring for patients in a face-to-face setting, you'll use your expert clinical knowledge to assess patients over the telephone and determine what they do next, be it self-care, a visit to their GP or an emergency ambulance.
This is a fast-paced role in which you'll draw upon your clinical assessment skills to help and advise a broad spectrum of patients, from minor ailments to injuries to complex and urgent conditions.
As a Band 6 Clinical Advisor, you'll have the autonomy to make decisions but be supported by our experienced team of senior clinical advisors and practice coaches.
We are currently recruiting for Clinical Advisors in St Asaph, Cwmbran, and Swansea.
To qualify for the role, you will be an NMC Registered Nurse (adult or Child) with relevant clinical practice as a nurse in front line, acute or chronic care, or telephone-based triage, or HCPC Registered Paramedic with demonstrable post registration experienceas a Paramedic in front line services.
The service is busiest during evenings/weekends and nights so we are particularly interested in hearing from individuals who can work predominately during these hours.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
In exchange, we can offer a range of contracted hours per week and a comprehensive training programme which supports nurse revalidation and CPD requirements.
We can offer two routes in to the role; temporary to permanent position. Once the 26-week probation period has passed you will be offered the opportunity to move into a permanent contract, or a direct permanent contract from the outset.
Induction training for this post will comprise of an initial five-week training programme, which will be full time. There are monthly training courses available.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new service with many career progression opportunities.
