We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Apprentice to join our team. This role will cover both facilities, business support and human resources.
As an apprentice, you will not only attain a qualification, but you’ll also be on a development programme, which is designed to kick start your successful career in Business Administration. This is a great stepping stone opportunity to gain experience andunderstanding across facilities and HR.
We will support your technical development through a wide range of on-the-job practical experiences and twenty percent of your time will be spent on a study programme which will consist of regular classroom or online study with an apprenticeship trainingprovider.
You will assist the office management and HR teams to provide a high standard of building facilities services project wide, you’ll be assisting in administration tasks, ensuring logs are up to date, and queries are handled in a timely manner.
**Responsibilities** **Facilities and general business support**:
- Delivering professional and courteous facilities services across all ALIGN Project accommodations in line with ALIGN Policy.
- Assisting the Facility Assistant/ Office Manager to provide operational cover for all site offices and facilities across the C1 Project.
- Under the supervision of the Facilities Assistant, co-ordinate repair and maintenance work to include carpentry, plumbing and general maintenance issues.
- Distribution list management, and seating plan desk allocations list management
- Monitor and manage the facilities E-Mail account and Building Faults Register daily, ensuring all issues are recorded and actioned/allocated accordingly.
- Once trained undertake Fire Safety coordination management: ensure all weekly checks are complete, schedule adhoc training, maintain Fire Marshal lists
- Assist the Facility Assistant with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) work schedules to deploy Maintenance Engineer.
- Support the Office Manager with ordering and replenishing the facilities container stock and office requirements, including stock taking.
- Raise Purchase Orders (PO’s) on internal procurement system for materials and consumables as requested by the Office/Facilities Manager - in line with allocated budgets.
- Support the Facilities Assistant with site wide works/deliveries and deputise during periods of leave and absence.
- Keep abreast of and comply with the Project policies, Management Plans and Procedures.
- Fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the company’s Health and Safety Policy and Health and Safety Management Plans.
- To undertake such other duties appropriate to the level and character of work as may responsibly be required within the Department/Service area. Significant permanent changed in duties will require agreed revisions to be made to this Job Description.
**Human Resources**:
- Supporting the SEE Manager with organising onboarding students, including site tours, welcoming visitors and attending events.
- Supporting the HR team with general administration, including uploading information and data entry.
- Supporting the recruitment team with general administration, including uploading documents such as interview notes and data entry.
- GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C or above, or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Good English communication skills - both written and spoken
- Results Orientated
- Driven with a keen ness to learn.
- Flexible with regards to duties to be undertaken
