Whitecraigs Tennis Squash & Fitness Club is a Tennis, Squash and Fitness Club in Glasgow. Our goal is to Provide a well looked after sporting facility that offers a premium experience for our members at all times.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible Caretaker to join our team. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our Clubhouse, playing facilities and it's grounds. This is a paid position with a house provided for living.

**Responsibilities**:
**Clubhouse Maintenance**
- Carry out regular inspections of the Clubhouse to identify maintenance

requirements and enter in a maintenance log book for discussion with

house convenor.
- Liaise with the Club President, House and Grounds Convener regarding maintenance

issues and to prioritise maintenance work schedule.
- Establish and maintain health and safety manual and records in

conjunction with the House and Grounds Convenor and competent person.
- Set up a calendar to control regular maintenance requirements e.g.

changing of time clocks, clearing of gutters, sweeping of squash, servicing of heating systems, electrical and fire alarm testing. (This can be done with the assistance of club members where required).
- Manage all contractors involved in the maintenance of the club. Where

work needs to be supplemented by internal resources discuss with House

Convenor.
- Scope capital projects and in conjunction with the House and Grounds Convenor decide

whether to contract work or complete with internal resources
- On a daily basis check cleaning completed by contractor/bar staff e,g,

toilets cleaned, vacuumed carpets in lounges, changing rooms, corridors

and gyms, dance floor swept, all tables, chairs, surfaces and ledges

cleaned and dusted, All brasses polished and Squash court floors swept

at least weekly.
- Set out and clear away furniture for club meetings, functions and private

hire events where required.
- Clean showers weekly and restock consumables daily.
- Be responsible for access to the premises for contractors and receiving

deliveries (including bar).
- Ensure the premises are opened and closed at appropriate times in

conjunction with cleaning contractor and bar staff, heated and lit when

required and that energy is conserved. Outside light timers are adjusted

as needed.
- Managing and maintaining equipment as appropriate and liaising with

Committee Team and House and Grounds Convener on all matters relating to buildings

and fittings.
- Maintaining security and fire alarms and attending alarm call outs.
- Carry out club maintenance, replace light bulbs, painting, gutter

clearance, leaf blowing and organising contractors for more specialist tasks.
- Monitor supplies of consumables - toilet rolls, hand towels, cleaning

materials etc. Order as required.
- Ensure all areas are kept tidy and litter free

**Grounds and Gardens**
- Clear litter from all areas of the Clubs property as required
- Ensure completion of following tasks:
Clear car park of leaves, pine needles, clear snow in winter, salt when icy, cut the grass and maintain the paths and flower beds/bushes in a tidy and weed free condition and maintain paths and paved areas in good condition.

Tennis court maintenance programme. Liaise with external company and in between quarterly visits ensure courts are regularly swept of debris, weedkiller applied and windbreaks attached to the fencing.
- Clear debris from the main sump in the bottom corner of the grounds
- Remove any debris from club grounds

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in caretaking roles is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills

**Salary**: From £18,000.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
