Caretaker – Residential Development, Glasgow
Location: Glasgow
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday, potential for O/T at weekends)
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Are you someone with a strong work ethic, a reliable nature, and a good level of fitness?
We're looking for a friendly, hands-on Caretaker to help keep a busy residential development of almost 400 flats looking its best and running smoothly.
This is a practical role where no two days are the same — from making sure communal areas are clean and tidy, to helping residents with small issues, to carrying out basic maintenance around the estate.
What You'll Be Doing
- Keeping large communal areas clean, safe and well presented.
- Carrying out basic DIY and maintenance tasks such as fixing door handles, changing light bulbs, painting touch-ups and minor repairs.
- Looking after the outdoor areas — light gardening, litter picking, tidying and general upkeep.
- Reporting larger maintenance issues to the property management team.
- Assisting residents and contractors on site in a friendly and approachable manner.
- Supporting the team to keep the development running smoothly and looking its best.
What We're Looking For
- Good work ethic and reliability are essential — you'll be a key part of the day-to-day running of the site.
- A good level of fitness — the development is large, with extensive communal areas to cover.
- A friendly and approachable personality — someone residents feel comfortable talking to.
- Basic maintenance and DIY skills.
- Experience in cleaning, gardening, and maintenance.
- Skilled in a trade? Even better — but if not, we're happy to invest in training and development for the right person.
