Our client’s Planning Team has an excellent reputation for delivering consents for residential, energy, agricultural, rural, leisure & tourism, waste, industrial, commercial and infrastructure developments, in addition to research and policy projects. As a result of their success in the above planning sectors, they are recruiting an experienced Planning Consultant to manage and deliver a varied range of consultancy projects in a fast moving, client focused commercial environment.
**The role**:
The Planning consultant will manage and deliver a varied range of consultancy projects in a fast moving, client focused commercial environment. This will involve:
- Providing planning consultancy services to public, private and third-party sector clients.
- Being a positive role model and providing planning advice to colleagues and clients and providing mentoring where appropriate.
**The Person**
- Manage the delivery of work on large and/or complex planning contracts. This will involve planning, organising, managing and monitoring to ensure that work is completed to the required standards, is delivered on time, meets the project profit target, and delivered to the client’s satisfaction.
- Manage, train and mentor your team to develop the technical, commercial and business development skills in order to meet client needs as well as team targets.
- A minimum of 3 years’ post qualification experience in Town and Country Planning.
- Full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute or eligible for full Chartered MRTPI Chartership.
- Relevant experience, preferably within the private sector or major residential developments in the Public Sector.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to work on own initiative.
- Planning Appeal experience, either written representation or informal hearing.
- Excellent knowledge of Town & Country Planning regulations and process, particularly the planning policy or development management experience.
