**What will you be doing**:
Monitor Safeguarding compliance in relation to the EYFS Welfare Requirements, Local Authority Requirements and relevant company policies and procedures. This includes all relevant safeguarding related training, taking urgent action where necessary.
Support with the annual review and any revisions to all safeguarding related company policies and procedures.
Investigate significant safeguarding disclosures, allegations or concerns raised by children, staff members, parents or others as deemed relevant by the Director of Yearly Years Regulation and compliance and the Head of HR, making assessments to determine the next course of action.
Have oversight of all significant safeguarding notifications to Ofsted and the Local Authority
Advise DSLs on safeguarding matters as required
Provide coaching and mentoring to Regional Managers, Nursery Manager’s and their teams to ensure a full understanding of all safeguarding related matters.
Attend TAC or strategy meetings at the request of the Director of Early Years Regulation and Compliance.
Assess the capability and expertise of the nurseries Designated Safeguarding Leads in their nurseries to support their individual development needs.
Deliver accredited and non-accredited be-spoke Safeguarding training programmes to our employees to improve their knowledge and skills.
Measure and report on the impact of the training, coaching and mentoring each team has accessed.
Keep accurate records including caseloads, monitoring of safeguarding training and report on any trends across nurseries and leadership teams.
Keep up to date with current approaches to Safeguarding Practice
Attend any external training or networking events as required, always acting as an exceptional role model and ambassador of Grandir UK**.**
**Essential Qualification**:
Minimum of a full and relevant Level 3 Early Years and Childcare
Level 3 Safeguarding Children
Desirable Qualifications
Degree in Early Childhood Studies, EYT or EYP
Other relevant Safeguarding qualifications
**Essential Skills**
At least 2 years’ experience within the Early Years sector
Excellent knowledge of how to safeguard children.
Experience of leading on matters of safeguarding children.
Experience of delivering training programmes
Experience and ability to coach others.
Strong communication skills
Coaching and mentoring skills
