Senior ERP/finance Systems Specialist

We are looking for a Senior ERP/Finance Systems Specialist to join our Global IT & Service department within our Head Office in Viables, Basingstoke. This is a key role within our Business Applications team responsible for ensuring the delivery of ERP related tasks both within business-as-usual activities as well as change projects for SAP ByDesign (BYD), SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) and SAGE ERP systems. In addition, the post holder will act as a senior part of the Major Incident Response Team when required.

Working with colleagues and end users, this role will ensure incidents, problems, and service requests (e.g., system changes) are resolved and where required, document detailed specifications for system enhancements and changes.

Within this role, you will help to ensure that the ‘best use’ is being made of our Finance and Manufacturing systems by providing ‘How To’ guidance for our users and act as an ‘Internal Consultant’ bringing your process improvement experience and knowledge to De La Rue.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide expert ERP and Finance Systems support ranging from managing user access issues through to complex processing issues and database troubleshooting, this will include providing ‘How To’ guidance to our sites and users.
- Respond to incident, problem, and service requests in line with business priorities, particularly relating to the financial calendar. Maintaining open lines of communication and business satisfaction at all times.
- Conduct and support super user/train-the-trainer training activities when new functionality is deployed

**Skills, Qualifications & Experience**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience
- SAP certification or expert level experience
- ABAP certification or previous experience
- Strong experience supporting SAP ERP environment(s) (SAP ECC, ByDesign, S/4 Hana)
- Some experience supporting SAP BPC and BW (Business Planning and Consolidation) other consolidation environments.
- In depth understanding of ERP processes (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, Supply Chain Management, inventory management (including Manufacturing)
- Demonstrable evidence of analysing and documenting complex business processes
- Able to produce clear documentation and communication of solution objectives, requirements, and designs to both technical and non-technical audiences
- In depth understanding of ERP master data components and how they relate to effective process execution
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to travel are required.
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels and areas of the business
- Able to influence internally and negotiate externally
- Knowledge of other ERP systems, e.g. SAGE is desirable
