**Job Description**:
Job Outline:
This role will lead, manage and develop a team of Programme Management professionals, responsible for multiple projects from bid development through to production readiness, ensuring that the projects achieve the desired deliverables, on time and to cost and quality.

Key Responsibilities:
The main duties with this position will be to:
- Lead the Programme Management Team (annual reviews, performance metrics)- Capability lead for programme management- Develop and Train Programme Management team- Programme Management (50%)- Maintains the programs dashboard- Defines and develops tools and processes for program management and reviews- Allocates tasks in line with the business need

Personal Specification:
- Educated to degree level, with an engineering or scientific bias - providing the ability to have a technically credible dialog with the engineering and production teams.- Experience of delivering complex technically challenging programmes-
- Confidence, professionalism with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can represent our company at all levels and within international cultures.- High motivation, responsiveness and focus, also possess meticulous attention to detail - crucial for ensuring programme requirements are fully understood and met.- Confidence and credibility to influence business performance- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, AS9100 and associated quality standards- Bid and programme management skills within an engineering or manufacturing process environment.- Managing customers, suppliers and internal business project teams to deliver quality & timely results.

The following attributes are considered desirable, but not essential for the role:- Prince II or equivalent program management qualification- Membership of a recognised programme management body- Exposure and/or experience of military or commercial optronic systems and associated technologies.
