**Title: Business Development Manager**:
- Permanent, Full-time
**Salary**: £32k - £35k per annum (DOE)
Our client based in **Brighton** are seeking a **Business Development Manager** to join their organisation. The successful individual will be happy to occasionally travel to events to speak to potential partners & research targetorganisations within the Civil Service & Public Sector.
**Duties**:
- Manage activity across the sales funnel with a B2B focus
- Work with internal teams to develop a smart, targeted & effective approach to indirect distribution, developing & utilising all available physical & digital tools including CRM
- Maintain relationships with existing & new organisations & clients
- Manage the implementation of our Indirect Distribution Strategy initiatives, supporting the Group Business Development Manager
- Lead and develop the business development function to meet evolving sales targets through continuous improvement
- Research prospective eligible organisations based on agreed targeting strategy
- Work with Acquisition, Retention & Engagement (ARE), Brand, Digital, Events and Member Communities colleagues to develop appropriate marketing and recruitment channels within partner organisations
- Own the relationship between us and client organisations that are actively engaged in the programme
- Responsible for maintaining the CRM lead database with regular weekly reporting of the lead/sales pipeline
- Liaise with existing clients to update marketing materials hosted on their intranet and inform them of new promotions & brand campaigns
- Deliver key improvements to business development to support strategic changes
- Support the delivery & improvement of the overall member experience & contact strategy for existing indirect clients to increase engagement
- Contribute and actively participate in our Performance and Development System
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, & participating in professional societies
**Experience Required**:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel &
- PowerPoint)
- CRM experience
- Competent lead management
- Experience of cold calling
- People Management skills/experience
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Project management skills/experience
- Experience in a B2B sales/marketing environment (ideally Civil Service & Public Sector)
- Good presentation skills, virtually and digitally, to a range of audiences varying in role and requirements
- Target focused with strong analytical skills
**Hours**:Monday-Friday 9am-5pm - 1 hour lunch break
Hybrid working
Must be happy to travel & attend business events/exhibits (travel once or twice a month)
Must have access to own transport
