Based in Stockport, my client is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to look after the day to day operations and staff (15) to accommodate the growing, business needs. Purpose of Rule: To lead and manage resources and support services for purchasing, receipt, storage and despatch of goods and provide high service levels to support the needs of the business whilst ensuring resources are available, trained, fully utilised and efficient in providingtheir duties. Key Responsibilities: "Primary responsibility to include purchasing, receiving, warehousing and distribution of goods, including capital equipment and spares parts "Implementing operational policies and procedures "Implementing and overseeing security operations "Ensure safety of staff and effective / safe use of warehouse equipment "Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of all warehouse activities "Determine resource levels to provide high levels of service in the most efficient manner "Performance manage direct reports including recruitment, training / tooling and termination where applicable "Authorisation of holiday requests in accordance with the needs of the business, overtime, and absence management "Ensure all customer complaints relating to warehouse operations are resolved and completed in a timely manner Reports To: Managing Director Qualifications & Requirements: "Minimum 5 years' experience managing a number of people "Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures "Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls "Health & Safety and Quality standards awareness "Outstanding leadership, organisational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills "Excellent levels of communication at all levels, both written and verbally "Proficient computing skills Hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 5pm Fridays earlier finish.
