The Private Rented Sector plays a very important role in Enfield’s strategic approach to meeting housing need. Enfield Council is committed to work in partnership with private rented sector landlords to improve and maintain high standards of accommodation and professional management and provide good quality housing. The recent introduction of a borough wide additional and large selective licensing schemes will help us to identify and deal with private rented homes where safety standards are not being met and where properties are not being properly managed.

As a Licensing Inspection and Enforcement Officer you will join Enfield’s recently established Private Rented Housing Team responsible for the licensing of properties and undertaking a wide range of enforcement functions to improve housing conditions across the private rented sector in the borough.

We are looking to recruit a number of Licensing Inspection and Enforcement Officers, who will be responsible for the licensing of properties and undertaking a wide range of enforcement. The work will be varied from dealing with licensing inspections, disrepair complaints to investigating HMO related offences.

For some of this role you may be required to work from home and connect with your team and others virtually.
