**Job Purpose:?**
As a valued member of our Transformation Team, you will take ownership of the Resource Demand and Supply process to support our Annual Operating Plan (AOP), which in turn underpins the 5-year strategy.
Working with both project managers and business leads, you will support the business to effectively resource programmes of work by accurately forecasting, scheduling, and understanding real-time resource availability.
You will also have responsibility for the production and delivery of MI (Management Information).
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Coach and support business leads in effectively identifying and determining resource requirements of projects they lead
- Determine and communicate short and long term resource demand across both project and BAU teams
- Determine and agree on the supply of resources across projects and BAU
- Communicate the shortfall in resource supply to instigate the recruitment process
- Work closely with the project managers to keep up to date demand in line with project plans
- Work closely with HR Recruitment and hiring managers to secure the right resource at the right time
- Ensure recommendations to best use colleagues to achieve the portfolio activities are provided to the business
- Identify any key resource risks - critical points of failure, peak trading times, impact on multiple interdependent projects
- Create new and innovative forecast and capacity models to plan for future demand and growth Strategy development for changes in customer demand and expectations over the next 5 years
- Manage the current resource tracking sheet (MS Excel), making sure it is regularly reviewed and updated with all PMs and Resource Managers, calling out any impacts to deliverables and projects later on in the AOP Plan
- Strong experience in team management and effective resource planning
- An in-depth understanding of manual forecasting methods and formulas. Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills to work at all levels from Director to End-User
- Previous examples of where you have resourced projects end-to-end
- The ability to explain complex information in an easy to understand manner and generate “buy-in” from key stakeholders to further your department
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Ideally have some retail knowledge
- Presentation skills
- Able to influence and negotiate with people at all levels
