Working within the multi professional education team, the medical team supports the educational activities of all undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. We are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable and highly motivated individual to join the team to provide administrative support to the Foundation Training Programme Directors, Director of Medical Education and Foundation School Director at Health Education England.
We have two positions available, one based at Colchester and one based at Ipswich.
Interviews will be held on Friday 23rd September.
- Support the organising of, compile and advertise Foundation Programme teaching timetables and HUB days, manage any correspondence relating to foundation programme on behalf of the Medical Education Manager.
- Book speakers for foundation teaching and learning, arrange venues and equipment requirements, be the first port of call and available on the day to support these sessions with reasonable requirements.
- Keep all student training records and official online portals in order and up to date.

- Support the organisation and delivery of a responsive, innovative and high quality administration for the Foundation Programme.
- Ensuring that doctors are appropriately supported in their learning by liaising with local department leads, Clinical Supervisors and Educational Supervisors as required, agreeing suitable interventions.
- Keep up to date with and action information received from the East of England Deanery regarding the Foundation Programme and ensure students are informed of changes that affect their training.
- The development and maintenance of an audit compliant administration service, inclusive of record of appraisals, assessments and attendance at educational sessions.
- Organise and facilitate weekly teaching for the Foundation Programme, ensuring records are kept and preparing an evaluation summary for speakers for each teaching session.
- Act as a first contact where necessary with Foundation Trainees, support with resolving any issues.
- Deputise for the Foundation Programme Administrator (where required) at meetings relating to the Foundation Programme within the Hospital and within the Region.
- To attend meetings, take minutes if requested, in an accurate and concise manner and to ensure they are typed, distributed, and stored, in accordance with group Terms of Reference and Trust policies and procedures.
- Assist with the continuous, frequent distribution, collation and analysis of surveys and feedback.
