**Job Role**: Resettlement and integration Support Worker

**Salary**:£15,141 (FTE £25,235)

**Hours**:22.5 hours per week

**Contract type**:Permanent

**Location**:South Gloucestershire

**The Role**:
This role is working within our Refugee Resettlement team. You will be supporting and empowering individuals and families that are resettling in South Gloucestershire. The support you provide will need to be client-centred and tailored to each individual's needs, including access to healthcare, education, housing, benefits and meaningful occupation. Within the role you will give individuals and families the knowledge and tools to be fully independent in their lives in the UK.

**Overview**

The role has three elements:

- You will be supporting a caseload of Homes for Ukraine clients.
- You will be supporting a caseload of newly recognised refugees.
- You will be running drop-in sessions across multiple Hubs in South Gloucestershire that support all resetting communities including asylum seekers.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Taking a lead professional role in coordinating multi-agency support around the individual or family, including organising and leading meetings between the individual or family and the professionals supporting them
- Supporting individual or families to access schools, English classes, suitable housing, welfare benefits, healthcare and wellbeing services, employment and training.
- Identifying and promoting opportunities for client involvement across all areas of decision making and service development.

**Qualifications / Requirements**:

- A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle: business insurance will be required for roles involving travel for work
- Ability to communicate and engage effectively with individuals and families
- with diverse, specific, cultural and complex needs
- Understanding of the complex needs of asylum seekers and refugees who have experienced trauma
