**Job Role**: Domestic Abuse Family Support Worker

**Salary**:£22,440 - £23,812

**Hours**:37.5 hours per week - including every other weekend

**Contract type**:Permanent

**Location**: Bath

**Additional information**:

- On-call (1 in 4 weeks), £100/week when on-call
**The Role**

The successful Casework Coordinator will have excellent communication skills, a welcoming personality and the ability to adapt to unexpected situations. Your focus will be on supporting and empowering people of all ages that have been resettled in South Gloucestershire and helping them integrate into their new lives in the UK.

**Responsibilities include**:

- To provide practical and emotional support with children and young people and their carers to support recovery from domestic abuse.
- To provide support to parents and carers to develop an understanding of the impact of domestic abuse.
- To advocate for CYP with statutory agencies, particularly schools and in multi-agency forums to represent their needs and work towards improved wellbeing for the family.
- To manage a case load, undertaking support planning, reviews, risk assessments and safety plans and upholding reporting and statistical requirements.
- Track and monitor support delivered and its impact through review and use of outcome tools including In-Form, the Julian House client database.
- To support with and deliver, as required, workshops and training in schools; that includes awareness of domestic abuse and supports early intervention and signposting.

A very good understanding of domestic abuse, including the impact this has on children and young people_
- _ Experience of, or a willingness to learn, to lead and facilitate group work programmes_
- _ A valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle business insurance will be required_
